You are set up

KillSlop is installed.

Nothing else to configureYouTube, X and LinkedIn

In short

  • AI slop is hidden from your feeds automatically. You do not have to do anything.
  • See something it missed? Press AI SLOP on the post. It disappears for you at once.
  • Nothing you watch or read is sent anywhere. Free, and open source.

What it does

KillSlop hides AI-generated videos and posts on YouTube, X and LinkedIn as you scroll. A hidden post does not vanish silently: it collapses to a thin line that says why it was hidden, with Show to read it anyway and Not slop if we got it wrong. Your call always wins, and it takes one click to reverse.

It starts working immediately. There is no account, no sign-in and nothing to set up.

How it decides

Cheapest check first, and the first one that answers wins.

  • Your own calls outrank everything, including us.
  • The platform's own AI label, where there is one. YouTube labels some videos; X labels AI images and video. This is a fact, not a guess.
  • The account's pattern. Channels that label nearly every upload are slop farms; ordinary channels label none. That difference is measured, not assumed.
  • The open list, built from what other people report and what a maintainer approves.
  • The writing itself, if you switch it on. X never labels text and LinkedIn labels nothing at all, so this reads the post. It is off until you turn it on, because it is the only part that sends anything about a post away. See the privacy policy.

How to help

The list gets better when people use it. If a post is AI slop and KillSlop missed it, press AI SLOP on the post: on YouTube it sits beside the like button, and on X and LinkedIn at the end of the post's own row of actions.

That hides it for you instantly. It does not hide it for anyone else: your report joins a queue that a maintainer reviews by hand before anything is added to the public list. One person cannot bury a creator, by design. If you would rather keep your calls to yourself, turn off Contribute reports in the popup.

Got one wrong? Press Not slop. That is just as useful, and it is how false positives get found.

Support the project

KillSlop is free and stays free. There is no paid tier, nothing held back for one, no advertising and nothing sold, which also means there is no company behind it paying for the work. If it earns its place in your browser, you can chip in here, where the bills it covers are listed. If it does not, keep using it anyway: the list gets better either way.

What leaves your browser

Lookups are sent as the first four characters of a hash, so the server cannot tell what you were looking at. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and nothing is ever sold. The privacy policy lists every single thing that is sent and when, in plain words.

Free and open source

The code is GPL-3.0 and the list is CC BY-SA 4.0, which means anyone can read it, check it, use the list in their own tool, or improve it. That is deliberate: a filter that decides what you do not see should be one you are allowed to audit.
