Help and support

Something not working?

Most problems are one setting in the popup, so the fixes are below. If none of them is it, write to us and a person will read it. There is no ticket system and no bot.

Common problems

The four things that usually go wrong.

Every one of these is a switch in the KillSlop popup, which you open from the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar. Nothing here needs an account or a reinstall.

It hid too much

It hid something I wanted to see

Press Show on the note it left, then Not slop. Your call outranks every other signal and sticks. If it happens often, switch Hide it to Dim it so nothing is removed, only greyed out, and tell us below which account it was: a wrong entry on the list is worth fixing for everyone.

It missed things

Obvious slop got through

Press AI SLOP on the post. It disappears for you at once and joins the review queue. Most AI posts carry no label at all, so on X and LinkedIn the writing check is what catches the rest. It ships switched off because it is the only part that sends a post's text away; turn it on in the popup.

The site broke

A page is slow, blank or looks wrong

Turn KillSlop off for that one platform under Platforms, and reload. If that fixes it, it is ours and we want to know: tell us below which site and what you saw. You can also press Reset local data, which clears the saved verdicts and your marks without reinstalling.

Privacy

I want it to stop sending things

Turn off Contribute reports and your marks stay on your device. Turn off the community list and no lookups go out at all. The privacy policy lists every single thing that is ever sent, and uninstalling removes everything stored on your device.

Send feedback

Write to the maintainer.

The same form as the one in the extension, and it lands in the same inbox. Tell us what happened and what you expected instead. An email address is optional and only used to reply.

In the open, if you prefer.

Bugs filed on GitHub are public, which makes them easier for other people to find and to pile onto. If your problem might be someone else's too, that is the better place for it.
